| Welcome to our website. It’s new, but
we are not. Sunset Park Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) has
provided an old-fashioned spiritual setting for worship, fellowship, and
community service for sixty years in Santa Monica. Our sanctuary
is simple and beautiful, reminiscent of both the traditional New England
churches of the early pilgrims and the revival chapels of the American
frontier. Our membership is open, welcoming, and caring to members
and visitors alike. Our worship is, in the great tradition of the
Disciples of Christ, centered on scripture and features regular open communion.
Sundays at Sunset Park begin at ten a.m. with Bible study and discussion. Our regular Sunday worship service starts at eleven, and is immediately followed by coffee, refreshments, and fellowship at noon. On Wednesday nights at seven p.m. we offer a creative writing workshop, free of charge (as are all our activities) and open to all. We also regularly offer music programs, poetry, and play readings. Our sanctuary and services are also available for rentals, weddings, funerals, and counseling. Come visit us and see for yourself what we offer members and visitors alike.
